On the day of the competition, we will introduce guest riders who will liven up the event on the course.

Beki(Cycling Navigator)

Beki, a resident of Kitakyushu, will be appearing as a guest rider on the 110km course.
A cycling navigator who not only enjoys everyday cycling but also takes on various cycling competitions, including completing the 1,200km Paris-Brest in 2023. If you spot her on the course, be sure to say hello!

Tomomi Kudo (bicycle-riding announcer)

Tomomi Kudo (J:COM Oita Cable Telecom announcer), a cycling announcer, will be appearing as a guest rider on the 65km course! She will also be assisting us as the MC on the main stage after the finish.
If you hear Kudo’s energetic voice on the course or at the main venue, be sure to say hello!

Maho Kakita & Mizuki Ikeda (Road Race/Track Japan Representatives)

Kakita Maho and Ikeda Mizuki, who have both represented Japan in the Olympic cycling events, will be participating as guest riders.
This is a rare opportunity to ride alongside these two top athletes active on the world stage.
We hope you enjoy riding and interacting with them at the starting point!

Profile of Maho Kakita

Originally from Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, she was born on December 14, 2004. She is currently a member of Waseda University/Team Rakuten K Dreams.
She excels in both track and road events, and showed impressive performances at the 2024 Asian Championships Track, where she broke both the Japanese and Asian records in the 4km individual pursuit and won the gold medal.
In 2024, she achieved five gold medals at the National Track Championships.
Furthermore, from 2025, she will transfer to the Italian UCI Continental team “Be Pink-Bongioanni” and continue to challenge the world in road racing.

Profile of Mizuki Ikeda

Originally from Onojo City, Fukuoka Prefecture, she was born on August 6, 2004. She is a member of Waseda University and Team Rakuten K Dreams.
She began to show promise in high school, and after participating in a talent discovery program, she switched to cycling. With her flexible legs and calm tactics, she has won and broken records in multiple domestic and international competitions since her junior days.
She competed in the women’s team pursuit at the 2024 Olympic Games (Paris 2024), placing 10th, and is a young athlete with great promise for the future.

VC FUKUOKA(UCI Continental Team)

Founded in November 2010, this professional bicycle road racing team is based in Fukuoka Prefecture.
VC FUKUOKA will register as a UCI Continental team in 2023, and will since begin full-scale participation in international races both in Japan and abroad.
In 2025, Benjamin Prades won Stage 6 of the Tour of Japan (2.2 class), one of Japan’s largest stage races, and the team has steadily built up its track record while earning UCI points.
VC FUKUOKA also engages in activities involving a variety of stakeholders, such as a youth team to develop young riders, a masters club for working adults, and support for athletes with disabilities. They are also working to develop a cycling culture in the region.
At this year’s tournament, participants and the local community will come together to share the appeal of cycling sports, along with VC FUKUOKA’s professional athletes.
